Joseph A. Quatela, Esq. is a partner and trial attorney in the law firm of Quatela Chimeri, PLLC, a multi-faceted firm with law offices in Hauppauge, New York. The firm and its members concentrate in the areas of matrimonial and family law, commercial transactions and litigation, business law and disputes, real estate, criminal, civil, employment discrimination, personal injury, federal practice, and appellate practice.

 

After serving as a Suffolk County Assistant District Attorney, Mr. Quatela entered the private sector, concentrating in the fields of matrimonial law, commercial transactions and litigation, federal and state civil litigation, criminal law and real estate.  Mr. Quatela’s depth and breadth of experience enhances his representation of clients with varied legal needs and requirements.

 

A member of the Suffolk and Nassau County Bar Associations, Mr. Quatela has served on the Matrimonial Committee, Criminal Courts Committee, Commercial/Litigation Committee and Federal Courts Committee.  He is also a member of the Suffolk and Nassau County Matrimonial Bar Associations.

 

Mr. Quatela is a current board member and past board chair of The Education and Assistance Corporation, a not-for-profit organization providing a broad array of educational, vocational, counseling and criminal justice services to children and families.  The organization’s 70 programs protect children, create opportunities for seniors, promote healthy families and communities, empower people through employment and education and provide alternatives for people with substance abuse and mental health needs.

 

Mr. Quatela received his Juris Doctor from Hofstra University School of Law in 1985 after graduating from Gettysburg College in 1982, magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa.  He was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1986 and is admitted in the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York.
