Do certain factors indicate a higher likelihood for divorce?

No one gets married with the anticipation that the marriage will come to an end. In best cases, New York residents enter into this relationship with happiness and the intention to live together in love. Of course, issues can come up in any marriage that could have parties considering their options for divorce.

Certain personality traits could potentially be cause for concern when it comes to the potential success of a marriage. For instance, if individuals feel that physical appearance and money are the most important aspects of the relationship, those values may not act as a solid foundation. Both appearances and money can fade over time, and without more substantial aspects of the relationship to consider, the marriage may not stand up.

Another issue that could possibly play a role in marriage and divorce is the relationships of parents. Though most people find themselves thinking at one point or another that they do not want to end up like their parents, children with divorced parents may be more likely to get divorced themselves. Some studies show that adopted children are also more likely to divorce if their biological parents did.

Feeling as if a marriage may be more likely to end in divorce can be difficult to deal with. Of course, there are no set factors that guarantee that one or both individuals will want to dissolve a marriage. Each case depends on specific circumstances of the situation and the individuals involved. Still, if some New York residents believe that divorce could suit their best interests, they may wish to obtain information on their legal options.
